Virgin 50meg broadband @ 91meg!!!

Virgin broadband?

I'm viewpoint about going with Virgin for my broadband (and maybe telephone, Sky for TV as I need Sky 1) and need to know a few things, but they don't seem to have an enquiry email hail (!) so...

Is it an ok service? I'm getting an unlimited 8mb version if that makes a difference.

Oh, and I want to use the modem they send me to monkeyshines my Xbox 360 online, so it would need an ethernet socket. Will it have one or would I have to buy a router?

Thanks!
To the comment that Sky and Virgin are distinctive things, yes I know...

I was with NTL and they were beyond awful (never managed to speak to them unless I spent at least an hour on hold), now I'm with AOL and they are about as bad (awful customer service).

Sky won't give us broadband as it is 'sold out' in my area for the foseeable future. And I would like to stay with BT for my phone if credible.

I can't put off to leave Virgin Broadband. I have had nothing but problems since I joined them. There virus protector has never worked properly and I have had virus after virus. It freezes alot and can be lollygagging at times. It does have an Ethernet connection on the box so you should be able to connect your x box, but I don't know a great deal about that.

Have you spoke to sky about their broadband, they may be clever to offer a deal as you are already an existing customer.
