Access Point?

I bought a Linksys WRT54G Wireless-G Router, Access Point, Firewall and 4-Anchorage 10/100 Switch on accident. I thought it was just a router.. well i was wrong. Can you please tell me what this is actually acclimated to for. My sister in-law has a desktop downstairs and wants to put a laptop upstairs, will this work for her??
Is this a router? or does it employment with a router? Sorry I'm confused.

its still a router really better to have a firewall and built in hub. You don't have to use the firewall however. And if you have only 1 PC you only need 1 of the 4 ports.

So yes your sister-in-law can use it
