Officials of Billy Ballew Motorsports (BBM) announced today that Steve Wallace will results behind the wheel of the team's No. 15 Toyota of Des Moines Toyota Tundra for the July 11th Iowa 200 at Iowa Speedway.

When a vista machine is in hybrid sleep mode, will AD be able to wake it up to push down a windows update?

If i had a evaluation environment I'd be able to test but it is not available. Usually you can only wake a vista box up by hitting the power button. However if under the power administration tab of the network cards properties "allow the computer to turn off this device to save power" is checked off will AD be adept to wake the machine to push down the update.
In our environment we physically push down the updates after the windows update has been fully tested in our milieu

The consideration b questionable you are asking relates to the setting known as "wake on LAN" and is set in the network card properties or system BIOS. If Wake on LAN is enabled, an apparent device can wake up the machine from "power saving" (AKA Sleep) mode but a hibernated gizmo is actually powered down with an image file of the system RAM saved to the hard drive ready for a fast power up again so it could not be powered up in this case in point

The bigger issue is that AD does not PUSH updates. XP and vista PULL updates using the BITS ritual to either connect to a SUS, WSUS server or the microsoft update site itself.
