Wireless Internet?
I positive absolutely nothing about wireless internet. I have dsl now on my desktop pc. I'm in college and I am planning on buying a laptop within the next few weeks. If i buy a laptop thats Wi-Fi competent.....but i choose to keep the dsl at my house and jus hook that up to the laptop will I be able to pick up the interent when I go to a hotspot with wi-fi or will i have to pay for wireless internet maintenance in order to pick it up anywhere? Could someone explain to me how it all works? and myabe some prices on wirelss internet?
get a wireless router for your DSL at nursing home so you can use your laptop at home as well. As for other hotspots, most colleges offer free access so you can connect to that. anyplace else, they are most qualified to charge you. most hoptspots are independant hotspots but if your looking for a roaming hotspot service you can get something like http://www.ipass.com
