Fortran 5 - Heart on the Line

Video for the 1991 unmarried from Fortran 5. This also features Vince Clarke. Sorry about the fluttering sound distinction.

fortran 5 - look to the future

1991 Unsaid Records Label. nice house track.

How do I assign fortran units 5 & 6 to stdin & stdout in SunOS 4.1?

OS is fa account provided by ISP for dial-up. I have been on it 10 years and backported filters to best use 56k connection. Bash shot, Perl, and C seem to work.
I have been *nix user at home and professionally since mid 90's. Mainframe Cobol 30 uears before that. Last Fortran was in 70's.
I have Fortran subroutines and driver protocol STATLIB (lib.stat.cmu.edu) I want to use at ISP. All the subroutines compile with f77 & are added with ld to $HOME/libmy.a.
f77 & ld on driver originate an exec without reporting errors. First source statement is READ(5,1) I,F ;1 seems to be a FORMAT for an integer and a set up.
I get no indication it had problem loading library subroutines or that it wants input when I invoke from shell;
$ ./assemble
Segmentation fault
I would trace with gdb but, it gives a error telling me I am not authorized.

Those should already be the defaults, so you
shouldn't have to do anything.

By the way, that OS is somewhere in the ballpark
of 15 years old. I'm quite surprised to be
seeing questions about it :-) It might be worth
pointing out that the current release of Solaris
as well as the compilers (including Fortran) are
on tap for free if you wish to upgrade.
