please opinion! hope u enjoy!

Custom XBOX 360 Wireless Internet Adapter Upgrade

I built a hanger-on looking thing to enhance my internet on xbox live with the wireless internet adapter. I went from one ping to three pings in ...

I have a problem with wireless internet adapter saying it has good connection but the internet wont work?

I am having a intractable with one of my computers at home, i have wireless internet and a netgear wireless adapter hooked up to my dell computer. When i log on, the netgear does its thing and hooks up with the wireless interrelationship but when i go to the internet, it says there is a problem loading the page. What do i do?

Have you tried turning off the power to your router.. letting it sit a few seconds.. then mention the power back in?
This reboots the router

Need to gather more info to isolate problem.....

Click Start Click on Run
Type in cmd and hit Sign on
type in ipconfig /all and hit enter
look at the IP address of the Local area Connection for the wireless network...
IP give a speech to should look something like 192.168. something.
NOT 169.254 something
Default gateway should look similar to the IP address but end in a 1 or a 254... criterion: 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.1
if it is empty or all zeros.. you are not really connected to the wireless network.

The Default Gateway is the address of your wireless router.

Next.. assuming you have a valid discourse for the default gateway.. try sending it a "ping" ( like a sonar ping worn to locate submarines)
Type in ping 192.168.1.1 (or whatever the IP address of your default gateway is)
Do you get responses or "call for timed out" ?

If that fails.. try pinging yourself.. to do this we use what's called a "loop back" address. Luckily its the same on all computers.
Keyboard in ping 127.0.0.1 and hit ENTER. See if the requests come back or time out.
If they time out.. the problem is either with the wireless hardware on your computer OR you extremity to reinstall the drivers. In rare cases.. you need to reinstall the Network Stack in Windows. - but that's a whole 'nother suspect.

Lastly.. if neither of those pings time out.. then try pinging your dns servers listed in the ipconfig /all command
The DNS servers end up from your internet provider -- if they are unreachable.. then you won't be able to pull up a website.

Last recommendation is to call your internet provider and see if they can help.

Another potentiality is spyware..but that's a whole 'nother question.
