what is ethernet and what is network card?? what is modem?? i impecuniousness to know t functionality of each one and also when to use them.
to connect with a neighboring system do i need modem, network card or ethernet??
please give me some easy definitions.
i have 2 pc in my company. i want to connect both of them using a LAN wire. but for tat wat is needed out of this three??

Ethernet is a big phone like radiogram. its the name of the cable type. and also knowing as RJ-45

network card:
is a peace of hardware in side the computer that can connect computers to a network or LAN
also is used for internet joining. connecting your computer to your ISP (internet service provider)

LAN:
local area network is a home network of computers.

modem:
there are two types. record speed modem and dial up.

high speed modem is external and sits on top of the desk. it can be connectible by two ways USB or Ethernet. connects you to internet.
